Sherry expands the Adult Jazz Combos at PCM Fall 2025
Get ready for jazz in the FALL!!
In 2018 Sherry put together an adult jazz combo program through Pasadena Conservatory of Music (PCM). Her dedication to teaching jazz to adults has grown the program exponentially! Sherry's Flying Jazz Kitten Books now a year long curriculum for young jazz musicians.
Sherry's jazz books for children Flying Jazz Kittens have been formatted as a curriculum of jazz classes for children aged 4-7. Called Young Musicians Jazz the classes will be offered every Saturday at the Pasadena Music Conservatory during the 2023-2024 school year.

Certified in Suzuki Method for Bass
Level 5

Sherry completed the world renown Suzuki Training method and was certified as a Level 5 Bass instructor. She is now certified in the Suzuki method in levels 1-5. This innovative approach to music education immerses the student in music both in class and at home Sherry is now offering Suzuki training in the bass at Pasadena Conservatory of Music. and through private lessons. Sherry Luchette Trio at Vroman's

Sherry and friends had a blast groovin' at Vroman's Pasadena Summer Music Series. Pasadena Conservatory in partnership with Vroman's Bookstore in Pasadena held this musical event for the jazz loving community over Labor Day weekend. A musical clip of Sherry can be found here soon.

Sherry at Catalina Bar & Grill with Frank Sinatra Alumni Big Band

Ooooh Las Vegas! Sherry appeared with the Frank Sinatra Alumni Band at the world famous Catalina Bar & Grill in a tribute to Ol' Blue Eyes. Featuring vocalist Henry Prego. An evening of hard swinging big band and all your Sinatra favorites.

Sherry certified as a Suzuki Method Teacher

July 2019

Sherry was selected to attend Suzuki Teacher Training this summer. She completed this renowned method of training this July and is now a Level One certified instructor. Suzuki training is focused on full integration of the student and his/her family in music. The course provides a life changing philosophy that musical ability can be developed in any child with the proper environment, encouragement and submersion in their instrument.

KJZZ 2019 Summer Series-Sherry performs with the Women of Jazz All Stars

Bubba Jackson of 88.1 KJZZ hosted a night of spectacular women performing some specacular jazz. Headed by world renown Sweet Baby Jai, The Women of Jazz All Stars show featured LA's top women in jazz including bassist Sherry Luchette at the Sagerstrom Center for the Arts in Costa Mesa. It was a great show!!
